The Meridian Collaborative was founded by Julie Gajewski as a leadership platform focused on helping education organizations bring clarity to complex systems.

With more than 20 years of experience across public education and higher education partnerships, Julie brings a people-first approach to strengthening leadership alignment, mentorship development, and organizational systems.

Throughout her career, she has worked alongside educators and leadership teams to connect mission, data, and daily practice in ways that are practical and meaningful. She is known for building strong relationships, asking thoughtful questions, and helping teams see how their work connects across roles, departments, and systems.

A Leadership Approach Grounded in Clarity

Julie believes sustainable progress begins when organizations have clarity around their mission, shared understanding of priorities, and thoughtful ways to reflect on progress.

Rather than introducing disconnected initiatives, her work focuses on strengthening alignment between leadership vision, daily practice, and the structures that support improvement.

This approach is reflected in the framework that guides her work.

The Mission • Metrics • Momentum Framework

Julie’s leadership philosophy centers on three connected elements: mission, metrics, and momentum.

Mission

Clear mission provides direction and purpose. When organizations share clarity about why their work matters, leaders and teams can align decisions and priorities more effectively.

Metrics

Meaningful metrics provide ways to reflect on progress. Thoughtful measures help organizations understand what is working and where further learning is needed.

Momentum

Momentum develops when mission and metrics remain aligned over time. When leaders create structures for reflection and collaboration, organizations can move forward with steady and sustainable progress.

Experience Across Education Systems

Throughout her career, Julie has contributed to strengthening leadership systems and organizational alignment across multiple education settings.

• strengthening instructional alignment across schools

• supporting multi-school data verification and reporting systems

• designing mentorship and leadership development structures for educators

• securing and managing grant-funded initiatives that supported long-term sustainability

• presenting strategic reports and analysis to governance and leadership bodies

Key areas of focus

These experiences reflect a consistent focus on connecting leadership practice, organizational systems, and meaningful outcomes.

A People-First Leadership Philosophy

Julie believes sustainable change happens when people feel supported and systems are aligned.

Her work emphasizes listening before recommending, understanding the unique context of each organization, and supporting leadership teams in developing their own clarity and direction.

When mission is clear, metrics are meaningful, and leadership is aligned, progress follows.
